Ezhimala
Ezhimala is located at a distance of 55 Km from Kannur situated at closer proximity to sea. The hills of Ezhimala are famous for its scenic beauty and wonderful nature. The government is planning to open up Naval Academy here.
Kannur
Kannur is located at a distance of 90 km for Kozhikode district. Kannur has its own historical importance, people visit here from all parts of the world. The main importance is that there is St Angelose Fort which was constructed by the Portuguese viceroy centuries back. Kannur was once the famous capital of Vadakkan Kolathiri Kingdom.
Thalassery
Thalassery is known for its old trading centre. It is located at water front of East India Company which was established in the year 1708. One of the oldest Christian churches was built by famous Malayalam literature German Dr. Herman Gundert in the year 1839. Thalassery was main place of origin of the art 'Circus'. One of the first gymnastic training centre was started here in Thalassery years back.
